Easter baskets aren't just for kids! When you think * outside the basket * and gather your seasonal treasures into an alternative container, you've got the making of a really unique vignette, or even a truly memorable gift.
Fill a basket with natural signs of spring to make a charming floral element in your decor - or even make for a beautiful centerpiece for your family meal.
We were inspired by this antique glass case posted by Chateau M. Antiques in the Netherlands. They showed it decorated for the holidays. But for us, it sparked tons of ideas...
And so, we've gathered some ideas from our shop to help you put together a grown-up Easter basket for a fresh new spin on tradition.
Find your container
Here are just a few ideas from our current offering. This would also be a great opportunity to upcycle an unexpected object, or use vintage vessels.
Sparkle and shine
Add some glow to your thoughtfully composed "basket" with LED candles or string lights peeking through.
Gather some smalls
Create a fun sense of discovery by scattering in a few small elements, whether they're literal or figurative Easter eggs to hunt for. Semi-precious stone objets, mini figurines, and natural elements make for enchanting finds.
Add gift items
While your thoughtfully crafted basket is basically a gift itself, add in a few small gift items to evoke that sense of childhood delight. Candles, personal accessories, or other beautifully packaged little somethings are a grown-up alternative to candy - but don't forget some artisan chocolates or international sweets for fun.
Finish with flora
Add in fresh or faux florals, twigs, vines - even a mini potted succulent or small flowering bulbs.
Such a curated "cabinet of curiosities" hardly needs to be wrapped - a luxurious ribbon, or repurposed textile bow would be the perfect final touch.
